Scooped

Far Outliers has a post on one of my favorite groups in Central Asia, the Koreans exiled by Stalin. Joel directs you to a website about the Koryo Saram,
as these Koreans refer to themselves, and this site will now be over in
my resources links section.
Misfit groups fascinate me, and Central Asia’s Koreans are one of those
groups that stick out like a sore thumb. God bless ’em for being there
though, they’re some of the nicest people at the bazaars and their
delicious salads went far to inhibit scurvy during winter for me.
