Chengiz Aytmatov feels better

From the Communiqué of the Embassy of Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey.
“ On June 19, 2004 famous writer Chengiz Aytmatov was brought to Ankara from Bishkek on the plane of the President of Kyrgyzstan. Mr. Aytmatov had a heart attack on June 12.

Today, on June 20, Mr. Aytmatov was successfully operated at the Military medical Academy “Gulhane”. A special apparatus was placed to help the blood circulation in his heart. The operation was carried out by the leading heart surgeon in Turkey Dr. Ertan Demirtash.

Currently, Chengiz Aytmatov feels better. He will return to Kyrgyzstan in the coming week.
