Though this is of particular interest to bloggers, it also shows just how obsessive we are about hits…

I followed Michael’s lead and checked my Webalizer stats against my Sitemeter stats. Quickly eyeballing it, Sitemeter says I’m probably around 180 visits per day for January. Webalizer says I have 846 visits per day for the month. That’s a huge difference. I prefer to believe the latter…

And, because I have nowhere else to put it, check this out. Very funny.

This web page may help you compare the two different tracking systems. The two systems may match better if you try comparing the page view counts between them instead of the visit counts. Visit counts usually diverge the most between different tracking systems.
