The London to Tashkent Challenge… Apparently it’s a test run for a larger rally next year. Here’s a story on two guys doing this year’s run.

Craig Whitmore, 33, of Seven Sisters, Tottenham and friend Mark Swift, 33, hope to make the 5,000 mile trip in a 1986 Mercedes Estate with a whopping 169,000 miles on the clock.

They will compete against 18 other teams to complete the challenge in the fastest time without breaking down too often.

The pals – who have dubbed themselves Team Stan and Deliver – will steer their trusty car through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

It looks like this is the site for the rally. You can support Team Stan and Deliver here.
