Reuters reports protesters threaten to march on Bishkek:

CHYM KORGON, Kyrgyzstan (Reuters) – Thousands of people gathered in the home region of deposed Kyrgyz President Askar Akayev on Saturday and said they planned to head for the capital to protest against his ousting by mass protests.

Keneshbek Dushebayev, whom Akayev named as interior minister shortly before being swept from power on Thursday, said he expected people to set off by car, bus and even horseback for Bishkek soon.

“They may get there today. They may get there tomorrow, but the important thing is they will go there,” Dushebayev told Reuters.
