What is to be Done?

Some suggestions from Fikret Ertan in the Journal of the Turkish Weekly.

From this point of view, today’s interim government in Kyrgyzstan should not waste any time at all. First and foremost, it should provide security in the country, establish the rule of law immediately, project confidence to the outside world, boost investors’ confidence; it should immediately announce that the owners of the looted shops and stores will be compensated for their losses and should normalize the situation in the country as soon as possible. If it does not fulfill these obligations, Kyrgyzstan will continue to be a victim of wasted years, there is no doubt about it…
