Craig Murray Loses Again…

From Yahoo! News:

LONDON (Reuters) – A former British envoy who campaigned over Prime Minister Tony Blair’s decision to go to war in Iraq, failed in his bid to unseat Foreign Secretary Jack Straw on Friday.

Craig Murray, 46, was trying to oust Straw from his Blackburn constituency by tapping into public anger over Iraq and what he called the government’s zeal in joining U.S. President George W. Bush’s “war on terrorism”.

Murray, London’s former man in Uzbekistan, said Straw was as complicit as Blair with an immoral foreign policy.

Straw held his seat, taking 42 percent of the vote ahead of the Conservative candidate who took 23 percent. Murray finished in fifth place behind the Liberal Democrats and the far-right British National Party.

“Many predictions were made about the result in Blackburn,” Straw said. “We didn’t lose, we had a terrific victory.”

Fukker. Good riddance!

(Nathan, is that kosher? I don’t see a link to your comments policy handy. Anyway, I know I swore at your house, so as I rule I figure it’s OK. . . )

You got the policy right 🙂 I don’t have it posted for the same reason I don’t have rules of conduct posted at my front door.

Heh heh heh!

Before the election, he claimed that he was giving the voters of Blackburn a unique opportunity to judge Jack Straw’s conduct. Now that they have judged him, and come up in favour, might Murray now shut up about Straw’s conduct?

BTW, Murray’s in need of a new job. Perhaps Nathan and the Bush Boys can give him a job of handing out leaflets for your next gig or something?
