Jolie-Musharraf Summit

Much less surprising than the fact that Angelina Jolie and Pervez Musharraf met to talk about Afghan refugee camps in Pakistan is that they disagree on relocating camps into Afghanistan.

Actress Angelina Jolie, a goodwill ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, said Saturday that Pakistani plans to relocate refugee camps from Pakistan to Afghanistan would not help the Afghans living in them.

“I don’t think it is a good idea,” Jolie told reporters at a press conference when asked to comment on remarks made by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf about relocating the camps.

Not that Pakistan has really said exactly why the camps should be relocated or anything, but couldn’t the UN find someone a little more, ummm, stable to talk to Musharraf. I guess sending Jolie is an indication of how serious the UNHCR takes its business.

As I was posting this, I was thinking about your posts on her.

Remember the old SNL skit where Kristy Ally and some other women played space aliens? They are visiting earth’s top scientists to answer all their tech questions but they can only stare at their boobs (where their eyes now rest).

I imagine her meetings with world leaders must be somewhat similiar.

Jolie: So, what about funding for these refugee camps?
World Leader: In Lara Croft were those your natural boobs or what?
