Probably not banned

Plenty of people said they have no problems accessing the site. Could very well be a hit or miss thing.

UPDATE: Check out the comments. It looks like I kind of was banned for a while. At least from one location.

UPDATE II: I hear that a lot of the anonymizers I listed don’t work. The one found here apparently does right now. A reader told me that BBC appears to be totally inaccessible now (I can understand why — their coverage has been excellent) and that Kniff is his workaround.

my sister responded “Very weird–today i can get on the site! Yesterday I tried several times and was getting redirected to an MSN search site. That’s the same thing that happens when I try to access ferghana.ru, centrasia.ru, and other banned sites. I can tell you that yesterday, over the course of about 8 hours, that was what happened when I tried to get on registan. I have no idea why it’s working now.”
