Reuters: UN Seeks Western Asylum for Kyrgyz Refugees

U.N. seeks to move Uzbek refugees to third states:

“We’ll do our best, as the UNHCR, to take a maximum of people outside. The situation is not easy,” Morjane said at the end of a three-day mission to Kyrgyzstan. Asked where the refugees could be moved from Kyrgyzstan, he said: “There is the United States, many Nordic countries, Canada, Australia, New Zealand … We will accelerate this operation and I hope we will have a positive reply.” He did not elaborate.

Of course, letting the Kyrgyz suspects into the above countries might give the Uzbek government evidence for an EU-US-“terrorist” alliance . . .
