What: The Walsh Exchange
Where: Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
When: March 22-24, 2013
The Walsh Exchange is the premier undergraduate research conference dedicated to international relations. Our second annual conference will focus on papers that fall into one of three categories: Area and Regional Studies, International Politics and Security, and International Institutions.
Presenters should arrive in Washington, D.C. on Friday, March 22 by 5 p.m. for a dinner reception and an informal social. Saturday, March 23 will feature presentations of papers and panel discussions, as well as a keynote speech and reception dinner. The conference concludes on Sunday, March 24 with an award ceremony and student send-off. Final schedule details will be posted on our
Deadline: Papers should be received by February 1, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. for priority consideration, or by February 15, 2013 for the final deadline.
Format: Please adhere to the following guidelines when preparing your submission.
- Microsoft Word .doc or .docx file titled Submission Category—Last Name.
- Cover page with your full name, submission category (see description), college, graduation year, email address, phone number, mailing address, and the name of any professor(s) with
whom you collaborated. No personally identifiable information should be present on any other part of your paper. We require that submissions be formatted for blind review.
- 25-45 pages (excluding cover page), 12pt Garamond font, double-spaced, 1” margins. Longer works may be adapted to fit the requirement. You may submit works in progress, provided that you can explain the direction of your research.
- Citations must use the footnotes or endnotes feature in Microsoft Word.
