While googling something completely unrelated, I found the website of the Gulistan Dance Theater in Los Angeles. It’s nice to see Westerners doing Central Asian dance.
The Uzbek Dance & Culture Society in D.C. has a lot of information on styles and costumes.
I found no information on dances involving men holding baby birds firmly in their hands (I saw it on TV). If anyone knows what the hell that’s all about, let me know.
