Authorities of Tashkent “washed” the monument to Amir Temur – Ferghana.Ru
According to Vasila Inoyatova, leader of the oppositionist Birlik, security structures arrested almost 50 activists of the movement that had planned a party congress and a protest action in central Tashkent on May 29. Many of them, particularly from the Ferghana Valley, were threatened with charges of “assistance to Islamic terrorists”. Inoyatova herself with her husband and son are currently at the Sabir-Rakhimov district police station.
