As readers may or may not know, I manage discussions on this blog as a mostly benevolent tyrant who strikes from the shadows when my ill-defined “Act like you are a guest in my home” policy is broken.
What follows has nothing to do with comments and is mostly for bloggers. Feel entirely free to skip this post over.
I am fairly uninterested in repeating others’ arguments, so let me steal from Michele, who is much more willing to let readers know what she really thinks about the proper use of trackbacks.
She says everything I want to say but am too worried about being polite to say. Plus, this hasn’t turned into a problem here yet, so I’m more worried about nipping things in the bud than getting a problem under control.
If you have a post you want me to see, just email me the damned link. I do (usually) read everything I’m sent and I post topical links pretty damned often.
Don’t abuse the trackbacks. Spammers abuse trackbacks. Spammers are dicks.
