Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov today called Russia Tajikistan’s “sole strategic ally” and said there were no unsolvable problems in bilateral relations.
This is beginning to look like a trend, so I wonder whether even Afghanistan might eventually fall into place by the end of summer, given increasing US difficulties in Central Asia?

If Andijon was mentioned in the article, I’d buy the connection. Instead, it just looks to me like the ass-kissing that goes on from time to time.
And this has been going on for a while…
For Tajikistan to “tilt,” they would have had to have leaned the other way at some point. So when did Tajikistan ever “tilt” towards the US?
And Afghanistan? God, you know how the Afghans love the Russians. Just love ‘em. That whole decade long war thing is just ancient history. Ancient.
