From RIA Novosti:

“It is pleasing that the relations of strategic partnership and mutually advantageous cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan are developing on a solid basis of traditional friendship, trust and respect for each other’s interests,” the letter says.
“I am confident that the existing understanding between us on the all-embracing development of bilateral relations will serve to build up further Russian-Uzbek cooperation, step up joint efforts to fight any manifestations of international terrorism and extremism, and maintain peace and stability in the Central Asian region,” the message said.

It’s so cute when I get to read direct translations from the Russian. It all looks so complicated and yet cute at the same time. It makes me miss my students.

Plus, whenever I see Putin, I always think of Maksim Galkin’s dead on impressions of him and I laugh. Too bad that he’s one scary guy.
