Free Peasants Denounces Andijon Report

They called it a “primitive lie.”
The party — which the government has refused to register — said today in Tashkent that the prosecutors’ official report to parliament on 6 September 2005 comprised what it called “a primitive lie.” It said investigators had extorted false confessions out of people involved in the revolt in order to “to justify the killing of their own people.”
