Hack is better than some names going around, I think. Atambaev (Min. Industry and Trade) has now issued a statement saying the president's demands are illegal. This could be building up to a real confrontation, with half the government moving towards the opposition, Ryspek threatening to kill the head of the electoral commission, and everything looking rather worrying for poor Mr Bakiev. He might want to start checking out real estate prices in the ex-Kyrgyz presidents' district in podmoskov'ye.

Jamilya's right, Bakiev must be getting worried. Presumably aimed at people like Atambaev, who was involved in the weekend demonstration. Spring is in the air, must be time for the annual Kyrgyz revolution.

this is not done for them to start working. Bakiev is paranoid about his power, he does not want any heavyweights to join different sorts of political groups that would challenge him in future. he could not care less if they sit on their rear ends and picking their noses all day as long as they are politicaly inactive
