Remember that incident of the random HIV infection of dozens of children in Shymkent when upwards of 17 HIV-positive people were allowed to donate blood? It was something of a shock, as Uncle Nazzy likes to pretend HIV isn’t an issue and is perfectly under control. It’s clearly not, and eight children died as a result.
The hospital staff was charged with criminal negligence, and the health minister, along with several senior officials, were fired. The trial for the staff has begun. I’ll be followng this as closely as I can.

Let’s hope they get a fairer trial than those poor Bulgarians in Libya.
