An Important Message from Iran
by Nathan Hamm on 7/16/2007
Iran let Kyrgyzstan know that by attempting to increase its influence in Central Asia, the United States is violating the rights of the region’s states. This brings up an important set of questions. As an especially Satanic nation of nonbelievers, do US attempts to increase its influences carry with them the special quality of violating others’ rights? Or, is Mr. Borujerdi unaware that by trying to bring a Kyrgyz official around to the Iranian point of view on international politics, he is perpetrating a grave harm against the gentle people of Kyrgyzstan?
On a slightly unrelated point, Kyrgyzstan apparently supports full Iranian membership in the SCO. The more the merrier, I say. It just adds in more fault lines for the whole organization to collapse along.
