		<description>Three Cups of Tea was one of the best books of the year. You&#039;re right to highlight that Mortenson&#039;s qualifications were, essentiallty, linguistic ability and basic interpersonal skills. Fascinating how much he and his colleagues have achieved. 

The idea of educational access for girls and women is something that most folks in development (be they in Central Asia, Africa, South Asia, Latin America) agree is the single greatest contributor to overcoming poverty and instability. Too bad, as a policy or an investment, it largely gets lip service from decision makers.</description>
