Baktash Siawash is a Kabul-based journalist who’s been running blogs since mid-2003. His Persianblog-hosted site got canceled after he pulled a Kambakhsh and asked some uncomfortable questions, but now he’s on good old Blogspot.
Siawash has a great perspective on what’s going on, as he seems to have a good sense of not only what can add insight into an Afghan perspective, but also how to play that to an English-speaking audience. Recent stories have discussed Mullah Omar’s terms of negotiations, how mobile phones are driving up the divorce rate, and those girls who had acid sprayed in their faces.
