Photo: Walking to the C-17

Every once in a while, you get a really pretty moment in the middle of feeling exhausted and miserable. Here we are, walking in a long line from the PAX terminal at Bagram Air Base to the back of that C-17 you see in the background. The seats in those planes suck HARDCORE, especially since they ask (but don’t enforce) that you wear your body armor the whole time. I was glad to be done with it.

Saw one of these guys flying out of Scott AFB in s. Illinois last weekend. Pretty impressive looking.

From time to time, they fly over our house in Atlanta, on approach to Dobbins ARB. Them, and the C-130s. They get pretty damn low, and I know when they’re flying over because it gets really frakking loud. I agree, they are quite impressive.
