Nice try. He’s a Dari-speaking Kabuli of Pashtun heritage.
Anybody who was strongly anti-Taliban in the 1990s got labeled as Panjshiri by Afghan Mellat enthusiasts and similar Taliban apologist types. Hence the mis-identification by numerous people.
