To all of our readers in Kazakhstan, are you experiencing any problems accessing Registan.net? I’ve received a couple reports from readers in Almaty of inability to access the site or certain parts of the site not showing up, and this time the problems don’t seem to be with our hosting company as was the case in 2006 and 2007. Since I like to keep score, I’m interested to find out whether or not this is the result of an actual attempt to block the site.
UPDATE — Thanks for all the responses here and by email. It looks like this might be the result of throttling by some ISPs.

Astana – using Megaline (effectively, actually going through a VISP based in our building on Turan), and using OpenDNS servers – no problems to report right now.
I hope you will tell us about the results.
No problems here on Megaline in Almaty.
