I was in Kapisa from summer 08 to fall 09. It pisses me off quite a bit that the French no longer go into Alasay. That was suuuuch an active area. I was at MF my first half of 15 months, the other half I moved down to KB. I think the ability of the French to perform changes with each unit. I was at MF for Chimera assuming command. Communication problems between us, them and our air support were also -very- bad, causing some misdirected fire [I worked the TOC]. TF Tiger was a lot better, and easier to cooperate with. If you could, please let me know [email] what TF is currently deployed there? I would love to talk further with you on this.
Thanks,
Misu

Joshua's e-mail is here:
http://www.registan.net/index.php/about-contact/about-joshua/

Pierre, I would love to hear more about your perspective on Kapisa, French troops and French OMLT/POMLTs in Kapisa.

ANA 3-203 that covers Kapisa and other nearby provinces has lost one of its 4 combat battalions (1st bn diverted to Helmand.) The ANA have limited manpower in Kapisa for a few months.

Any info on how the Kapisa ANP are doing? Why did the French PMT (POMLT technically) move out of FOB Morales-Frazier, the primary base in the province? Are the French POMLT living with the ANP outside of FOB Morales-Frazier?
